Love horses but find their large size a little daunting. Well, not all great horses are big!!
Minis aren't just for kids!!!
Come, spend 2 hours, immersing yourself in the world of miniature horses!
We will meet in our climate controlled viewing room.
Following a brief introduction, including a few safety guidelines, we will enter the arena and meet the horses.
Spend time brushing your horse, before leading them through some easy, fun, ground obstacles. If the weather is nice we will go outdoors and you may go through those obstacles leading your horse.
End the experience with treats for the horses, and refreshments for the guests.

Prepare yourself for an unforgettable riding experience of a lifetime, in a climate controlled environment, on Sheena, a fully interactive riding simulator. Think flight simulator for pilots. Sheena is one of only 5 simulators in the US, and the ONLY one on the entire west coast. She can be ridden English or Western. I have saddles to fit almost all riders.
Once comfortable riding Sheena, take a leisurely ride in the ocean, before riding up the hill to the lighthouse, while listening to authentic ocean sounds from the shorebirds to the sounds of Sheena moving through the surf.
From there, we will walk to the arena where our horses will be patiently awaiting your arrival.
Brush and walk with them through your choice of some easy, fun obstacles.
Start with an easygoing ride in our indoor, fully enclosed round pen. I will be right there to assist and guide you.
We will end the day with treats for the horses before heading back to the viewing room for refreshments.
Sheena has a manufacturer's weight limit of 200 lbs.
No fat shaming intended.
Experiences are offered Wednesday through Sunday.

Have you ever felt the desire make a difference in a rescued horse's life?
Have you ever wanted to be part of the healing process?
Come out, meet and spend time with our rescue minis and become part of their healing process.
While their physical wounds have healed and their day to day needs of food, water, veterinary care, and regular hoof trims have been met, these minis have a long ways to go as we work to teach them to trust humans again.
I have worked extensively with them, since the ranch became their forever home. First they had to learn this was a safe place and nothing bad would happen to them ever again. They are still in that learning process. The time has come for them to learn to trust people other than my husband and me.
While they are no longer the wild, fearful, out of control, potentially dangerous horses they once were, they are still very wary of everyone.
Fast movements and loud noises are very intimidating to them. So, while you are relaxing, and breathing deeply, you are teaching them to relax and feel a sense of calm and safety in your presence.
Learn about their backgrounds and how they found their way to our ranch, while you sit comfortably in chairs, or slowly walk around the round pen which invites them to come up and investigate you.
They will do as much for you as you do for them.
We will end the day with treats for them and refreshments for you.

Come out, meet, and spend time with our rescue horses and become part of their healing process. There is no riding involved. This is hand's on only.

The time has come for them to learn to trust people other than my husband and me. They are no longer as reactive as they were when they first arrived at the ranch, starved and in desperate need of medical attention, and hoof trims.
After meeting the horses, you will be paired up to spend some time brushing and getting to know your horse as you learn how they came to call the ranch home. Brushing and breathing deeply teaches them to relax and feel safe in your presence.
Then, you may lead them through some fun easy obstacles before feeding them treats. That will be followed by refreshments for you.

Children should be at least 4 years of age as they will either be walking in the arena, round pen, or outdoor obstacle course, leading horses.
This is a two part experience, which will start indoors and move to our fully enclosed arena. Sheena lives in a climate controlled room. Weather is not an issue for her. You will still need to wear some sort of proper riding attire. Jeans, or riding breeches, short sleeved shirt, and boots. No bare feet, flip flops, or sandals allowed. While have some pairs of boots but we may not have your size. If you are in close toed shoes and we do not have boots, you will be limited to a ground handling experience only. Helmets will be provided for all riders. Helmets and boots are cleaned and disinfected between riders. As we will be going into our covered, enclosed arena following the Sheena ride, please dress according to the weather conditions.
The ranch has a paved driveway, and gravel parking area directly in front of the arena. We are virtually mud free. We have a coded gate entry. You, your vehicle, and your valuables will be safe and secure while you are here.
The ranch has a climate controlled, full service restroom, complete with antibacterial soap, hot and cold running water. We also have hand sanitizer stations as well.
