Prepare yourself for an unforgettable riding experience, on Sheena, a fully interactive riding simulator. Think flight simulator for pilots.
Have the riding experience of a lifetime, exploring 4000 acres, in a climate-controlled environment, on a horse as sophisticated as a flight simulator for pilots. Once you are comfortable with Sheena, you can gallop down the beach, or in the ocean, explore the farm, a castle, the zoo, city, lake, forest complete with deer, elk, rabbits, bears, foxes, wild boars or just ride the open prairie.
If you are a rider, and wish to improve your riding skills, or work on a gait or a problem with your horse, Sheena will show you your riding strengths, along with areas needing improvement as you ride in real time, including a riding test, complete with a printed readout for you to take with you at the end of the session.
Sheena is one of only 6 simulators in the US, and the ONLY one on the entire west coast. She can be ridden English or Western, and I have saddles to fit almost all riders. There is a weight limit of 200 lbs.
This is a horse ranch and poop can happen. Long pants, close toed shoes, or boots with a smooth sole and defined one half inch heel, and comfortably fitting shirts are best. No sandals, flip flops or open toed shoes will be allowed. While we are in a covered arena, if it should rain, wear weather appropriate clothing is recommended.
While we do have some pairs of boots, we may not have your size, so please plan accordingly. We may not be able to accommodate you. We care about your safety. Helmets are provided for all riders. They are cleaned and disinfected between riders.
Children should be at least 4 years of age as they will either be walking in the arena, round pen, or outdoor obstacle course, leading horses.
Sheena lives in a climate controlled room. Weather is not an issue. You will still need to wear proper riding attire. Jeans, or riding breeches, short sleeved shirt, and boots. We have some pairs of boots but we may not have a size, to accommodate you. Helmets are provided for all riders. They are cleaned and disinfected between riders.
Age limits are difficult on this one. I base them on the maturity level of the child. My youngest rider was 3.5 and was able to comprehend what she needed to do when riding . If you are uncertain, it would be best to wait.
The ranch has a paved driveway, and gravel parking area directly in front of the arena. We are virtually mud free. We have a coded gate entry. You, your vehicle, and your valuables will be safe and secure while you are here.
The ranch has a climate controlled, full service restroom, complete with antibacterial soap, hot and cold running water. We also have hand sanitizer stations as well.
